The board of trustees is the governing body of the University. It is chaired by Mr. Samuel London, who holds a Masters in Engineer from the University of California, Berkley, served over fifty years in management and leadership. The board is responsible for the University’s effective management and to ensure that its mission and vision are fulfilled. Other members of the board of trustee include :

- Mr. Andre Davis – CPA; MBA (University of South Wales the UK)
- Dr. Melissa Varswyk – CEO and President of GAU; Post grad Cert. Health Profession Education; Doctor of Medicine (MD)

Dr. Melissa Varswyk, Co-founder and CEO of the University, holds a Doctor of Medicine Degree and Post-graduate certification in Medical Education from Keele University, UK. She provides effective leadership and support for an academic program consistent with the University’s mission, the needs of those being served, acceptable standards of quality, and available resources.
