Students with Disability

When the student applies and declares he/she has a disability, the application will be processed as per standard operation procedure for admissions and guidelines for students with a disability when applying for accommodations. Student Affairs office will make contact with students at least four weeks before the commencement of the program to discuss the following:
  1. Housing, classroom and dining accommodations
  2. Placement exam accommodations

Guidelines for students with a disability when applying for accommodations

Housing, Classroom and Dining Accommodations:
Students must submit a formal request for housing, classroom, dining accommodations form (Accommodation_Verification_Form_8.19) at least 4 weeks before the commencement of a program. The form must be submitted to the student affairs office. The student affairs staff will review the request and make the necessary accommodations for the student if the application is approved. Upon approval, student affairs will notify the student of the special accommodations.

Placement Exam Accommodation:
Students must submit a formal request for assessment accommodations form (Request_Assessment_Accommodations_8.19) and provide supporting documentation. The documentation must be completed and signed by a licensed clinical professional. The provider providing documentation can not be a relative of the student. The form must be delivered to the student affairs office at least two weeks before an exam. The student affairs staff will review the request and supporting documentation and notify the Testing and Evaluation Service. After students have received confirmation that their accommodation request has been approved, students can takean exam.
