The Student Honor Council will consist of ten (10) elected student Representatives (2 PM, 2 MD1, 2 MD2, 2 MD3 and a Chair and Vice-Chair both elected from the M4 class). The Dean will also elect one (1) student representative and two (2) faculty representatives to the Honor Council. The Student Affairs Director is an ex-offico on the Council and does not have voting rights. The members will be elected and selected to serve for 12 months and for no more than two (2) cycles.
The Honor Code applies to every medical student who is enrolled at GAU. Accordingly, every medical student shall be required to verify acceptance of the honor system by signing the following Honor Pledge.
Dr. Phylicia Morgan
President GAU-AMSA Student
We are pleased to introduce, Phylicia Morgan, AMSA GAU’s Chapter President. She is a Birmingham, AL native and a Clinical Science student at GAU. She is a proud Tuskegee University Alumni where she received her B.S in Biology (2006) and M.S. in Nutritional Science (2010). She also has a Master’s in Management with a concentration in Leadership and Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Walden University. She is now currently pursuing her Doctorate in Healthcare Administration at Walden University as well. Phylicia serves as a board member and medical advisor for Pinktopps Inc., a non-profit breast cancer organization. In her spare time, you may find her being your Roadie, Uber, and/or left driver!! She’s looking forward to serving the students at GAU and being a part of the AMSA family!
