GAU’s mission is driven by the belief that giving the opportunity to a broad range of stakeholders representing diverse ethnicity, age, sex, creed, and economic status is essential in prompting broader cultural and structural change. GAU strives to include and support participation by women and other underrepresented groups in every level of the institution’s services. GAU’s Board of Trustees, Administration, Faculty, and Staff acknowledge the historical and structural oppression of various groups and identities present within our communities and asserts that in order to effectively carry out our mission the University must keenly and steadily recruit and support both students and staff representing a diversity of experiences and backgrounds.
